On October 2nd 2011 Pastor Ron preached his candidacy sermon for the position of Senior Pastor at Mount Vernon. During a business meeting following the service the congregation in attendence voted to call Pastor Ron as our Senior Pastor and extended the right hand of fellowship to he and his family.

A 10-week Bible study title, “Precepts Upon Precepts” is underway on Monday evenings at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Sessions begin at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. The first sessions will be concentrated on the Book of Hebrews. Then, beginning Monday, October 3rd, classes will be from the Book of Zechariah with the theme, “They Shall be My People and I Will be Their God,” with the concluding session on Monday, November

Members and volunteers of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Rode, Hurricane, will join forces Saturday, July 30th, for a major clean-up of the grounds and parking areas.
